Academic Excellence

At Bialik, we are proud of our ongoing pursuit of excellence in our programming. We set and achieve high standards across our curricula. Our rigorous programs facilitate the development of higher level thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.

We are aware of the importance of being accountable to our parents in terms of our educational standards and, for the past two decades, Bialik students have participated in a variety of assessments. Our students' achievements in these assessments affirm the excellent teaching and learning that takes place at Bialik.

EQAO (Education Quality and Accountability Office) Assessment of Grade 3 and 6 students in Reading, Writing and Math

Our grade 3 and 6 students participate in the annual provincial assessments in Reading, Writing and Math. Although we, as a private school, are not mandated to take part in these assessments, Bialik has chosen to do so as part of our efforts to be accountable in monitoring our students' achievements. Not only are we the only Jewish day school in Toronto that participates in these assessments but since the tests' inception, our students have consistently achieved 20% to 40% higher than the provincial average .

Graduate Achievement

Our students excel in all areas when they graduate from Bialik. Over the past decade we have conducted several surveys of our graduates to determine how well Bialik has prepared them for high school. Grade nine marks, student surveys and interviews, and anecdotal evidence all point to the fact that Bialik graduates are exceptionally well prepared and successful, regardless of which high school they attend.
