Extra Curricular Activities

Our rich curriculum is enhanced by numerous programs aimed at providing our students with opportunities to enrich their Bialik experience. Students enjoy participating in our various extra curricular activities such as:

Choir: Students from grades 3 - 8 can join our school choir. The choir performs at school celebrations as well as at many citywide events, including the annual Mercaz Zimriyah. Our choir is well known throughout the city for its fine performances. The choir performs in Hebrew, English, Yiddish and French, with the majority of its repertoire in Hebrew.

Dance group: Bialik's dance group, open to students in grades 4 - 8, provides participants with the opportunity to develop their artistic abilities, rhythm and poise, as well as teaching them the importance of teamwork. Our dance group performs at school and community events, including the Mercaz Rikkudiyah.

Bible Contest: The Bible Contest is a national program open to students from grades 5 - 8. Participants devote many hours of study in preparation for the regional and national competitions. Bialik students take pride in their knowledge of the Bible and over the years have excelled at the Bible Contest.

Learn-In: The Learn-In is a daylong opportunity for students in grades 6 - 8 to enjoy a myriad of inventive programs outside the school's standard curriculum. Experts from the community share their knowledge with workshops as diverse as "From the mouth of a correctional officer", "Mock trial" and "Doctors without borders" to "Fun with sushi", "A visit to a veterinian" and "Becoming a songwriter".

Sports Teams: Bialik has many intra and extra-mural sports teams. For the complete rundown of our sports program, please visit our Sports @ Bialik page.
