An Author Among Us
Grade 4 and 5 students received a special visit from the author of Latkaland, Karen Fisman, who spoke to the students about being an author, the creative writing process, and publishing a book.
The students also listened intently as Karen read from her children's storybook about Chanukah, as well as from the children's historical fiction manuscript, The Medici Adventure, that she is presently writing.
In the end, the students were given the opportunity to ask questions, make recommendations, and share their own love of writing with the Toronto author.
